Engaging Girls in STEM Careers

Members, join ACTE for the second in its STEM Webinar series: a
presentation on
engaging young women in STEM careers. This Webinar will cover the
rationale behind
encouraging girls to pursue STEM education and careers, how STEM for
nontraditional
populations plays into Perkins legislation and funding, and what you
can do to get
girls interested in STEM.

It will also include an in-depth case study of Francis Tuttle's
GirlTech program,
winner of the 2009 Programs and Practices That Work: Preparing
Students for Nontraditional
Careers award. Start preparing your questions now, as this hour-long
presentation will include a question-and-answer period.
