National Educators Workshop

Tulsa Technology Center is hosting the NEW conference November 3-5, 2013 at our Riverside Campus. Dear Educator, On behalf of Oklahoma State University and the College of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology, we would like to invite your junior students to attend OSU CEAT J-Day 2013. This year?s CEAT Junior Day will take place on Friday, April 19th from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the OSU main campus in Stillwater. The day-long event features an Avengers theme, speakers on various topics related to engineering, architecture, and technology, introductory breakout sessions for students: individual interests, creative competitions (for prizes!) based on problem-solving and real-world skills, catered breakfast and lunch from Stillwater's own Red Rock Bakery, and tours of the college and campus. This is a great opportunity for students who have an interest in engineering, technology, math, science, or students who are unsure of what major they might be interested in to learn more about the fields they can pursue and to experience the amazing culture of Oklahoma State. We encourage you to extend this invitation to all of your junior students, advertise with the attached flyer, and inform their teachers of this opportunity. The cost per student is only $10, which includes breakfast, lunch, a t-shirt, and a day on the beautiful OSU campus that will be packed full of fun and educational experiences. LEGO® Education Workshop Grant

This grant program, offered by EBA, is available to help fund teachers using LEGO® Education products to facilitate hands-on workshops at national, state, or regional conferences or events by reimbursing qualified facilitators for expenses.

OU Summer Math Opportunity

I am pleased to announce our splendid summer mathematics opportunity at the University of Oklahoma for qualifying high school students. We are eager to receive some applications from your juniors and seniors to be. Two one week sessions comprise Bridges to College Math, Science and Engineering Summer Academy - July 15-20 or July 22-27, 2012. Accepted students will identify which week he/she prefers. All expenses including room, board, supplies and books will be provided for each academy student. Travel expenses to and from the academy location and incidental personal expenditures are the responsibility of the academy student. Students will be involved in a variety of areas to pave the way to college level math engineering and science. They will visit the world-famous History of Science Collections at OU, the Engineering College, the Physics Department, the Chemistry Department and will do work in the physical science building housing the OU Mathematics Department. 69th Annual Four State Regional Technology Conference Nov. 10-11, 2011

As colleagues in the state department, so they can share it with the
teachers they work with in *Oklahoma*. This year's theme is:
/*"Advancing Technology Through STEM (Science, Technology,
Engineering, Math), Innovation and Imagination." */We have an
excellent conference plan and the price is definitely right ($40.00
-early registration [$50.00 regular ], which includes Thursday's
Lunch, and *69 timely interest sessions [including 20+ STEM
presentations; FIRST Robotics, etc.]* ).I know its a challenge for
educators to go to conferences in these tough economic times, but I
believe your teachers and colleagues will see its worth it, even for
a day. We would really like to see more *Oklahoma *educators here
this year, as well as more *Oklahoma *presenters at next year's
conference.

I believe we have presentations that will meet the needs of a wide
spectrum of technology and technical instructors at all education
levels. All necessary FSRTC information and links are noted below. A
listing of topics also follows the summary.

We really want the FSRTC to be a clearinghouse for best practices, so
each state can gain fresh perspectives and ideas from one another.
